The Abdidaya Ormawa Awards are the culmination of the Student Organisation Capacity Building Programme (PPK Ormawa): a national event where implementing teams from across Indonesia bring together the results of their community work, learn from one another, and are recognised for the impact they leave in their partner villages.
The 2026 edition is hosted by Universitas Muslim Indonesia, Makassar, on 21–25 October 2026, under the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.
What the name means
Abdidaya joins two ideas: abdi, to serve, and daya, to empower the people a programme works with. Together they describe what this event really measures — not how busy a programme was, but how much stronger a community is once the students have gone home.
The 2026 theme
Bersama Berkarya, Berdampak untuk Indonesia Berkelanjutan — Creating Together, Making an Impact for a Sustainable Indonesia
The theme is the starting point for participants as they share their community work and learn from one another. The full explanation, together with the meaning of the logo and the mascot, is in The 2026 Theme and Visual Identity.
Four parts of the programme
- Opening — press conference, the committee chair’s report, remarks by the Rector of Universitas Muslim Indonesia, remarks and the official opening by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, a parade of participants and student performances, and the reading of the award decree.
- Expo — an exhibition of posters, programme outputs, and documentation videos from every implementing team. Visitors help choose the Favourite Expo Booth here.
- National Seminar — a seminar in the morning and roundtables in the afternoon, split into four thematic classes: Universities, Supervising Lecturers, Student Organisations, and Partners.
- Closing and Awards Night — announcement of the recipients of 171 awards in 45 categories.
The full hour-by-hour rundown is in the Agenda.
Attend in person or follow from afar
The event is hybrid. Everything takes place in person in Makassar, while the opening and the awards night are streamed live on the official YouTube channel so that campuses not sending a delegation can still watch.
Scale
For a sense of scale, the 2025 edition brought together 295 funded teams and more than 2,500 students from many universities. The 2026 participants were confirmed by letter No. 3773/DST/B2/DT.01.01/2026 of the Director of Learning and Student Affairs dated 5 October 2026: 120 teams from 60 universities. The full list is in the participant directory.
