The national progress review tests whether student programmes truly meet community needs, and is the gateway to the Abdidaya Ormawa Awards.
The Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, held the PPK Ormawa 2026 Progress Review (PKP) online on 8–10 September 2026, hosted by Universitas Muslim Indonesia. Belmawa Director Dr. Beny Bandanadjaja, S.T., M.T., opened the review on Tuesday, 8 September.
A total of 226 student groups from universities across Indonesia presented the progress of programmes run with communities in partner villages: goals and outputs achieved, community involvement, and the changes beginning to take root.
More than an administrative check
The review looked at programme progress, outputs, effectiveness, community involvement, and contribution to student organisation capacity. Belmawa stressed that PPK Ormawa succeeds not merely when activities take place, but when communities grow in capacity so that the initiatives started with students can continue after funding ends.
Towards the Abdidaya Ormawa Awards
Review results determine each team's next step. Teams meeting the criteria advance to verification and may be nominated for the national Abdidaya Ormawa Awards. Feedback from the review is also meant to help teams improve their programmes and strengthen their lasting benefits.
